Getting Around Skiathos

Skiathos has one main road that stretches from Skiathos Town to the south west, ending at the famous beach of Koukounaries.

Serving this route and the many sandy beaches along it are frequent buses out of Skiathos Town. These get crowded in July and August but there are plenty of taxis available.

Car hire should also be considered, as a car will enable you to wander off down the minor roads that lead to some of the nicest parts of the island.

From the town there is also a hydrofoil service to the nearby islands of Skopelos and Alonissos, plus regular excursions to the mainland, Meteora and Delphi.
