The Windmill is located above Magazia and Fontana on the old road to
Gaios, in a perfect location for those who enjoy the peace and quiet of
a rural villa. From the terrace at the front of the property and from
the pool area there are fine sea views to the south west, which extend
over the west coast of Paxos and down to Anti-Paxos. On a clear day you
can see much further, to Lefkada and even Kefalonia.
The villa has a quiet outside area, suitable for al fresco dining,
directly in front of the house and plenty of space around the pool for
sunbathing and relaxation. The Windmill is a perfect place for letting
the pressures of life beyond this small island drain away.
A
traditional Paxiot building, the Windmill has been tastefully modernised
by its Paxiot owner and now offers a very high standard of accommodation
for a couple seeking a romantic hideaway with plenty of outside space
and a private pool. For two sets of friends travelling together, a
separate studio in the grounds offers sleeping accommodation for another
two guests.
The main property consists of one double bedroom - which is obviously
circular! - a shower room and an open plan kitchen/diner (also
circular).
The nearest villages are Fontana and Magazia and both have mini markets
and tavernas. They can be reached on foot in 10-15 minutes but a car
would, we feel, be advisable at this property.
Accommodation
(On
two floors) - Open plan living / dining room and kitchen with door to
outside terrace, spiral stairs leading to double bedroom. There is a
shower room downstairs. Outside there are gardens and a large seating area around the
small swimming pool. Separate studio in the gardens sleeping two.
Nearest Beaches
The Windmill is in a fairly central position and several beaches are
within a 5 minute drive, among them Levrekio (Loggos), Marmari,
Kipos, Kipiadi and towards Gaios Kaki Legadi and Kloni Gouli beaches.

The Windmill is close to the village of Fontana - about 15 minutes
walk and a bit further down to Loggos.

is by far the smallest of the villages on Paxos and is
situated on the road from Gaios to Loggos. It is a
pretty village with no real signs of the 21st century
(or even the 20th), which is one of its main
