NINA'S HOUSE

Nina’s is the upper part of a traditional
town house in a quiet street in Yialos, the harbour area of Symi.
Entrance from the street is up a steep flight of steps which emerges
into a large open-plan kitchen/living room. This attractive,
high-ceilinged space divides naturally into two. The lounge area to the
right contains tasteful antique furniture and opens out onto a small
balcony overlooking the street, while to the left the neatly arranged
kitchen leads onto a patio with views of a splendid bougainvillaea and
over town roofs to the hills. From the lounge, a second flight of steps
leads up to two small bedrooms, one double and one twin. Both the patio
and the balcony have chairs, and the patio a table for outside dining,
while the interior is air-conditioned. A five minute walk from this
petite, elegant house brings you to the shops and restaurants of the
harbour.
