High up in the
hills above Loggos is a peaceful area called Kangatika where Levanda is
situated. Those who stay here love being in the real Paxos and right in
the centre of the Greek community. There are many excellent walks in the
area, making Levanda popular with walkers. The large pool with its
section for safe bathing is especially attractive to families with young
children. Although a car is recommended, Levanda is only about 15
minutes walk downhill into Loggos.
Levanda is tucked away behind a gate and down two flights of steps
through a pretty garden with orange and lemon trees and bougainvillea.
The terrace by the front door is shaded by a pergola covered in vines
and has a stone table with chairs. Leading up to the pool is a pretty
second terrace with another pergola shaded by a fig tree and outdoor
furniture.
The spacious kitchen is separated from the dining room by a bar and has
a fridge freezer, small dishwasher and microwave. The window looks out
across the terraces to the pool at the top end.
The living room is furnished in a rustic Paxiot style and there are rugs
on wooden floors throughout the property, making it feel homely. (Levanda
is used by the owners in winter, as is so often the case). Unusually,
the living room has a shower room off it, which is ideal for those using
the pool who want to shower off quickly.
The carpeted stairs lead up to a landing with patio doors opening onto
an upper terrace with an orange tree and stone fountain. The upper floor
has a bathroom with spacious shower cubicle and a washing machine and 2
simply furnished twin bedrooms. The double bedroom has its own ensuite
bathroom with bath and shower attachment. There are wonderful easterly
sea views down through the olive groves towards the beaches of the east
coast. The opposite window looks down on the swimming pool. All
Levanda’s bedrooms are air-conditioned and share a veranda which runs
along the sea-facing side of the house.

(1 double with ensuite bathroom and two twins), all with air

Nearest Beaches
It is a 20 minute walk to Marmari and Kipos beaches in one direction and
to Levrekio Beach with its taverna in the other direction. Loggos is
also a 20 minute walk away.
There are further beaches only a short car drive away on the way to
Lakka, the most popular being Monadendri and Lakka itself.
