Just 10 minutes walk
into Loggos or down winding footpaths to Kippos, Kipiadi and Marmari
beaches, Hortensia is very conveniently situated. There’s even a bus
stop over the road, so no need for a hire car.
Hortensia is a typical Paxiot house with a fantastic garden full of
exotic plants, vegetables and fruit trees, lovingly tended by the owner.
The path leading to the house is especially pretty at night when
lighting shows off the planters and urns.
A green and white striped canopy over the front of the house shades the
terrace where there is a table and chairs for relaxed outside dining.
Another terrace lies a few steps below, with a wonderful old olive tree
casting shade over a fabulous curved stone seat.
The main terrace has a
kidney-shaped swimming pool next to a pergola with comfortable outdoor
furniture. There is a stone barbecue in the corner of the terrace.
Inside the house, the 3 bedrooms run off the corridor which leads into
the living room and kitchen area. One double bedroom has a good sized
ensuite shower room, including a sink with plenty of space to put
toiletries. The second double has windows on two sides with views
towards Koutsi windmill. It shares a shower room with the third twin
bedroom. All the bedrooms have air-conditioning.
The living room is
furnished in typical Paxiot style with a fireplace and wooden ceiling,
giving it a cosy feel. It is next to the kitchen which is well equipped,
including a large fridge freezer and dishwasher.
Nearest Beaches
It is a short walk of about 10 minutes to Levrekio Beach with its taverna in
one direction, and to Marmari, Kipos and Kipiadi Beaches in the other.
