CHRYSANTHI HOUSE,
NIMBORIO
The stunningly beautiful and atmospheric bay of Nimborio is roughly one
mile by road from the main harbour and Symi Town (Yialos). For anyone
seeking a true away-from-it-all vacation in new yet traditional
surroundings, the tranquillity and immense beauty of Nimborio and Villa
Chrysanthi offer the perfect location.
The owners, George and Chrysanthi, who live next door, have recently
completed building the villa, which consists of two almost identical,
traditionally equipped apartments. On a quiet, bougainvillaea-lined
lane, the villa is only a stone’s throw from the water’s edge, with two
small, quiet beaches and one taverna only a ten-minute walk away on
either side of the villa. The apartments are an ideal base for
relaxation, swimming and gentle walks. The nearby taverna has for years
been a favourite with locals and visitors alike, offering an ideal spot
for a long leisurely lunch, with a return to Yialos by one of various
means: taxi-boat, hire car, scooter, boat or on foot. The coastal and
inland routes are both easy walking with amazing views, and the
accompanying fragrance of wild thyme, oregano and pine a sheer delight.
Evenings at Villa Chrysanthi can be spent gently relaxing and watching
the stars in Nimborio or, for a change of scene, sampling the wide range
of bars and restaurants in Yialos. Which to choose will be the hardest
decision you’ve had to make all day!

comfortable lounge area; two twin bedrooms; bathroom with corner shower;
terrace &/or balcony; air-conditioning; daily maid service; delivery of
fresh produce if required
UPPER APARTMENT
Side stairs lead onto a small, tiled patio at back of villa, from which
you step into a bright, airy open-plan living space. The kitchen/dining
section leads into the lounge area, which in turn opens onto a large
balcony overlooking Nimborio and the sea. Off the living area are the
twin bedrooms and small bathroom
LOWER APARTMENT
Entrance from lane into a private front terrace. The open-plan living
space is divided into kitchen/dining and lounge areas. The bathroom and
1st twin bedroom are beyond with a 2nd twin
bedroom at the back of the house. |
