Flight Details - Corfu
Our flight to Corfu is with Thomsonfly (formerly Britannia Airways) from
London Gatwick on Friday mornings. Flying time is three hours and Greek time
is two hours ahead of the UK. Britannia also operates Friday flights from a
number of regional airports, among them Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow,
Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds/Bradford and Newcastle . Please enquire with our
office for availability. Supplements chargeable on these flights depend on
the airport and season of travel. Thomsonfly offers a number of chargeable
additional services to passengers although some, such as extra legroom
seats, are in very short supply. Please let us know at the time of booking
if you would like further information on these.
Transfers
Clients holidaying on Corfu will be transferred to their accommodation by
either coach or taxi. The journey will take between 30 minutes and one hour,
depending on location, and clients will normally share a taxi with other
Travel à la carte clients. Private taxi transfers are available at a further
cost of £10 per person return.
Flight Details - Paxos
The journey to Paxos is by flight to Corfu and onward sea crossing to Paxos.
The flight details are the same as for Corfu above.
Transfers
On arrival in Corfu, clients will be transferred to the port for their
onward journey to Paxos. The transfer is normally by hydrofoil from the new
port, departing at approximately 15:00 and taking one hour. On arrival on
Paxos, clients will be taken to their accommodation by coach or taxi.
Some flights from regional airports have later departure times and land in
Corfu after 14:00, missing the hydrofoil transfer. For passengers landing in
the afternoon a sea taxi (fare approximately £25 per person one way if all
seats on the boat are taken) is a convenient way of reaching Paxos the same
day. Otherwise we can arrange an overnight stay in a hotel in Corfu Town
with an onward transfer the following morning.
A new seaplane service between Corfu and Paxos now offers an alternative
means of travelling between the two islands. The flying time is
approximately 10 minutes but there is a limit on accompanying luggage of 12
kg per passenger. For passengers flying from Corfu to Paxos, there is a free
minibus service from Corfu Town to the marine port at Gouvia marina. On
arrival at Paxos, the plane lands at usual collection point, the new port.
The regular return transfer from Paxos is by the hydrofoil, which leaves
Gaios at 08:00. Those with later flights may wish to leave Paxos later but
please note that accommodation must be vacated by 10:00. We have to ask you
to leave at this time to allow the accommodation to be cleaned before the
next arrival. In such cases our local staff will, if desired, endeavour to
make arrangements for your luggage to be looked after and, where possible, a
shower to be made available for your use.
